It reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of community-based performance and production contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide support to others involved in productions.

Actors portray roles in live and recorded or filmed productions. In the live performance area, an actor may perform in theatre, opera or variety. In the recorded medium, an actor may perform roles in theatre, film, radio, television, commercials, webisodes, mobisodes or other material distributed online.
Dancers are performers who entertain audiences by dancing as soloists, with a partner or as members of a group. There are many styles of dance, including ballet, contemporary, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, folk, jazz, ballroom and tap. Dancers may perform using a variety of styles, or they may specialise in one particular dance style.
