This qualification is part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package. It provides a trade outcome in plumbing in roles such as plumber, gasfitter, drainer or roof plumber. There are six streams available: water, sanitary, drainage, mechanical services, roofing and gas services.

Water stream core: Carry out interactive workplace communication; Read plans and calculate plumbing quantities; Work effectively in the plumbing and services sector; Carry out WHS requirements; Handle and store plumbing materials; Use plumbing hand and power tools; Carry out levelling; Mark out materials; Work safely on roofs; plus more. Sanitary stream core: Cut and join sheet metal; Locate and clear blockages; Plan layout of a residential sanitary plumbing system; Install discharge pipes; Fabricate and install sanitary stacks; Install and fit off sanitary fixtures. Plus units from the following streams: Drainage; Mechanical services; Roofing; Gas services. Plus electives.

It has over 12 years' experience in delivering solutions that intend to be responsive to the individual and employer by offering on and off job models, online, in a classroom or at the workplace delivery. Its trainers are qualified in their field, and provide training across South Australia between Mt Gambier, Port Lincoln, Renmark and Olympic Dam. Stream 1 Water (mandatory): 24 core; 5 elective; and Stream 2 Sanitary (mandatory): 6 core; 4 elective; plus units from the following streams: drainage, mechanical services, roofing and gas services.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
