Certificate III in Aged Care
This qualification is part of the Community Services Training Package. It addresses work primarily in residential facilities within defined organisation guidelines and service plans. Work in this area may include maintaining an individual's wellbeing through personal care and/or other activities of living; providing services to individuals with complex needs, and/or working with older people; training and support to promote independence and community participation. Workers at this level report to service managers and liaise with professionals and other service providers, and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of other workers.

Life after Study
Aged care workers provide care, supervision and support for aged people in residential establishments, clinics, hospitals and private residence. Aged care workers assist with the maintenance of personal care, domestic duties and management of illness. They also provide companionship and emotional support, and promote independence and community participation.
