This qualification is part of the Screen and Media Training Package. It is designed for individuals who wish to build upon their make-up and hair skill base for the screen, media and entertainment industries. They also have the opportunity to develop their management and business skills in relation to the media industry. Students may select specialist units for streams in hair or make-up.

Specialist: Select and apply hair extensions; Make wigs and hairpieces; Maintain continuity of performers' appearance; Style hair for performances or productions; Style wigs and hairpieces for performances or productions. It also runs approximately 130 short courses for work skills (industry compliance and skills development), as well as lifestyle (self-improvement, recreation and hobby). Courses are developed in consultation with industry, and are designed to meet both current and predicted skill shortages.
