This qualification is part of the Health Training Package. It covers workers who work as basic level massage therapists. It provides skills in therapeutic relaxation massage including basic health assessment and treatment and may be used by people working within a clinic or in their own clinic; in an aged care facility; in a health service; in a spa facility; or in a palliative care facility or hospital.

About East West CollegeEstablished in 1978, East West College is a Registered Training Organisation that offers Shiatsu, Reflexology, Therapeutic and Remedial Massage practitioner training. Classes rarely exceed 15 students, with one teacher and possible assistant. Local and international students are welcomed into the College. Majority of classes are practical hands on training with underpinning theory. Clinical practice is integral to studying at the College and all students in all courses do clinical practice from the get go until they graduate as competent and confident practitioners.
