Confined Space Entry (Training Program)

This training program is made up of units from the Manufacturing and Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Packages. It provides participants with information on their responsibilities with regard to Duty of Care, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Mine Safety and Inspection Act. It provides a guide to planning and entering confined spaces for employees and contractors by utilising the risk assessment process to identify hazards and applying the appropriate controls using the Hierarchy of Control. It informs participants of the requirements in rescue, training, isolation, ventilation, atmospheric testing, standby duties and entry permits to the confined space.
