This unit is part of the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package. It describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to supervise clients in aquatic locations, minimising risk through identifying and responding to potential hazards and emergencies. It applies to those working in aquatic settings or environments such as swimming pools and other aquatic recreation facilities. Work is performed according to best practice principles of aquatic activities, relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
