Ratings explained: Social Equity

The Good Universities Guide is committed to educating its audience about the importance of our university rankings and ratings, which are crucial for informing prospective students about their education options. What is Social Equity?

The Social Equity rating represents the proportion of students in a university's entire cohort of domestic students who come from low socioeconomic or disadvantaged backgrounds.

Why does this matter to me?

The Social Equity metric overs a range of different factors, from a student's home address to what their parents do for work.

Which university led the way for Social Equity?

Central Queensland University was top of the class in Social Equity, beating out all other insitutions in Australia with a score of 37 per cent.
