CSU’s Faculty of Education offers courses for people wishing to pursue a career in teaching and education at all levels, teachers who are looking for professional development opportunities, as well as those looking for careers in the information and library studies field. CSU is preparing graduates to be the teachers of the future, ensuring its courses meet the needs of the modern teaching profession. Graduates from our Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) and Bachelor of Education (K-12) will be qualified to teach at two education levels, providing them with greater employment opportunities. For educators interested in furthering their career in areas such as leadership, international education, inclusive education and teaching English as a second language, there are a range of postgraduate certificates and Masters courses available via distance education. Our information studies courses offer opportunities for those interested in diverse fields such as teacher librarianship, archives management and information architecture.
CSU’s Faculty of Science provides students with industry-accredited, practical education in a range of state-of-the-art facilities, including: an Equine Centre; allied health, dentistry and veterinary clinics; simulated hospital settings; wetlands; a campus farm; and an on-campus experimental winery. Students gain experience on campus using the equipment they will find when they join the workforce. Allied health and dentistry students treat their first patients in clinics on campus, under the supervision of experienced staff, allowing them to develop clinical skills in preparation for their chosen career. CSU’s Albury-Wodonga Campus is the ideal place to study environmental science , due to its sustainable design. While at the Wagga Wagga Campus, agriculture or animal science students can study in the heart of an agricultural area with livestock animals in paddocks just outside the classroom. Postgraduate courses allow students to specialise and take their career to the next level with flexible study options. CSU is also recognised for conducting world-class research in fields such as agriculture, environmental science, biological and chemical sciences, and veterinary science.
