This qualification is part of the Food Processing Training Package. It covers a range of food processing industries, such as grain processing, beverages, confectionery, dairy processing, fruit and vegetables, grocery products and supplies, and poultry.

Certificate II in Food Processing; or vocational training and/or work experience

Structure:

17 units: 5 core; 12 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Implement the food safety program and procedures; Monitor the implementation of quality and food safety programs; Contribute to OHS processes; Provide and apply workplace information; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices. Electives: Coordinate cheese making operations; Conduct chemical wash for fresh produce; Demonstrate knowledge of animal nutrition principles; Operate a chickway system; Debone and fillet product (manually); Assess olive oil for style and quality; Set up a production or packaging line for operation; Monitor storage facilities; Receive and store stock; plus more.
