13 units: 10 core; 3 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Prepare financial reports; Design and produce business documents; Process financial transactions and extract interim reports; Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers; Prepare operational budgets; Prepare financial statements for non-reporting entities; Establish and maintain a payroll system; Set up and operate a computerised accounting system; Carry out business activity and instalment activity statement tasks; Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry. Plus electives.

Individuals providing a business activity statement (BAS) service must be registered by the Tax Practitioners Board. Other conditions apply including a designated period of experience. Individuals seeking BAS agent registration should check current registration requirements with the Board as this is reviewed regularly.
