This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It is an entry level occupational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production or cropping context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both.

17 units: 2 core; 15 elective

Electives: Assist agricultural crop establishment; Milk livestock; Assist with feeding in a production system; Care for health and welfare of livestock; Identify and mark livestock; Maintain production growing environments; Participate in workplace communications; Assist beekeeping work; Follow site quarantine procedures; Maintain drainage systems; Maintain pressurised irrigation systems; plus more.
