This qualification is part of the Property Services Training Package. It will benefit a wide range of people with responsibility to improve access to buildings, facilities, parks, streetscapes, playgrounds and open spaces. This includes people working independently or as part of a team or larger organisation such as government, building surveyors, architects, occupational therapists, educational institutions, hospitals and other community organisations.

20 units: 12 core; 8 elective

Core: Interpret and apply medical technology appropriately; Promote team effectiveness; Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers; Undertake research activities; Apply disability awareness to assessing access situations; Apply building control legislation to assess small-scale buildings for access; Communicate effectively as an access consultant; Follow site OHS requirements; Manage risk; Prepare access reports; Work effectively as an access consultant; Promote client compliance.
