AGA - Apprenticeships Plus

This course offers participants pre-vocational training in the building and construction industry. The qualification aims to provide participants with the basic skills and knowledge to allow them to seek an apprenticeship in one of the following sectors in the building and construction industry: bricklaying; carpentry; painting and decorating; wall and ceiling lining; wall and floor tiling; solid plastering; stone-masonry.

Core: Work safely in the construction industry; Workplace safety and site induction; Provide basic emergency life support; Building structures; Calculations for the construction industry; Prepare for work in the construction industry; Communication skills for the construction industry; Introduction to scaffolding and working platforms; Leveling; plus more. Elective streams: Bricklaying; Carpentry; Painting and decorating; Wall and ceiling lining; Wall and floor tiling; Solid plastering; Stone-masonry.
