This qualification is part of the Health Training Package. It reflects the role of enrolled nurses with advanced skills who work in a specialised area of nursing practice. At this level, enrolled nurses integrate and adapt specialised, technical and theoretical knowledge to address a diverse range of clinical situations and challenges in their area of specialisation. They contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice using research and participation in broader organisational quality processes. Enrolled nurses retain responsibility for their own actions while remaining accountable to the Registered Nurse/Midwife for all delegated functions.

Currently working in Australia as an enrolled nurse; hold current registration as an enrolled nurse without notation with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

10 units: 3 core; 7 elective

Core: Conduct clinical assessments; Contribute to the improvement of clinical practice; Research and report on nursing trends and practice. Specialist: Acute care; Aged care and Individual support; Critical care; Mental health; Perioperative; Renal care; Rural and remote. Plus general electives.

Established in November 2006, Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College Pty Ltd (ALACC), (RTO# 21872) trading as ALACC Health College, Australia is a Registered Training Organisation. The College offers Nationally Recognised courses and non-award accredited courses for Return to Practice Australia wide. National qualifications of ALACC training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding for current students. ALACC courses provides students with a pathway into the aged care, nursing, health, pathology, early child care, English EAL, quality auditing, work health and safety, community services management, disability, leadership and management, from TAFE to University courses.
