This unit describes the skills and knowledge required tocomply with personal hygiene, maintain food safety,contribute to cleanliness of food handling areas anddispose of food. This workshop is suitable for anyonehandling food in the community & health serviceindustries – Aged Care, Home and Community Care,Childcare, Hospitals, Disability services and charitablefundraising organisations.


A self-paced written theory assessment viacorrespondence is undertaken prior to the workshop.Upon successful completion, you will undertake aworkshop practical assessment over a two hourduration*. Practical skills will be observed in either yourworkplace or at one of our facilities in a simulatedenvironment.

Standard entry requirements

Whilst there are no pre-requisites for this course, youmay be required to undertake a Language, Literacy &Numeracy questionnaire and pre-training review todetermine suitability.
