This qualification is part of the Health Training Package. It reflects the role of workers who provide support for the effective functioning of health services. At this level workers complete tasks under supervision involving known routines and procedures or complete routine but variable tasks in collaboration with others in a team environment.

Structure:

12 units: 4 core; 8 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures; Participate in WHS; Work with diverse people; Communicate and work in health or community services. Elective streams: Cleaning; Laundry; Food services; Grounds maintenance; General maintenance; Client support; Health administration.

Further information:

Students seeking a qualification targeted to a specific work area (such as cleaning or health administration) should select the required number of electives from the relevant group. A generic qualification may be obtained by selecting units of competency from across all elective groups.
