This program focuses on event management in a business environment. Students will learn to understand and apply management theory to event operations and demonstrate capacity to generate creative and innovative events concepts. They will learn about marketing and public relations and acquire knowledge in event policy, strategy, logistics and risk, consumer behaviour, applied finance and business law. The program includes industry skills in project, strategic and event management and gives students the option to specialise in hospitality, tourism, marketing, public relations and advertising. Some subjects covered when studying event management: Events Policy and Strategy, Project Management, Event Management, Creative thinking and innovation and Commercial Modelling for Events.

Study pathways
Course Credit is available upon academic approval. Block Credit is available and ensures quick and easy recognition of previous studies. An AQF level 5 Diploma in an aligned field will be eligible for block credit of 80 credit points. An AQF level 6 Advanced Diploma in an aligned field will be eligible for block credit of 120 credit points.
