Batons and Handcuffs (Training Program)

This training program is made up of units from the Property Services Training Package. It provides participants with the skills to assess a risk situation, respond to and manage a risk situation using batons and handcuffs as well as an in depth understanding of the legalities pertaining to the use of force. Weapon retention, weapon disarming, maintenance, storage and transport of restricted items is also covered.

Established in 2006, Asset Training Australia is a Registered Training Organisation offering training in Security operations, Security Firearms, Security & risk management, Traffic control and Traffic management, Workplace health and safety, Investigative services, Training and assessment, Business, Business administration, Customer Contact; Management, Project management, Marketing, Human resources, Quality auditing, Franchising, Courses in Community services -Commissioner for Declarations & Justice of the Peace (Qualified), Self defence instructors and Outdoor recreation. They also offer short courses in Firearms safety, Manual handling, CPR, First aid, RSA and OHS Inductions for White Cards. Class sizes are capped at 20 students.
