This qualification is part of the Aviation Training Package. It provides individuals with technical and non-technical aviation skills to operate effectively in a broad range of aviation security screening roles. Individuals working at this level will apply knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and limited judgement in structured and stable contexts within narrow parameters. Use for Defence Aviation is to be in accordance with relevant Defence Orders, Instructions, Publications and Regulations.

Core: Screen articles to enter an airside security zone or landside security zone; Screen people to enter an airside security zone or landside security zone; Work effectively in the aviation industry; Work in a socially diverse environment; Maintain security awareness and vigilance in an aviation workplace; plus more. Electives: Screen articles by interpreting X-ray images; Manage disruptive behaviour and unlawful interference with aviation; Use computers in the aviation screening workplace; Implement airside access; Conduct radio procedures in an aviation operational environment; plus more.
