Certificate III in Engineering - Electrical/Electronic Trade

This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. It is designed for engineering (electrical/electronics) apprentices. Students acquire competencies required by an electrical/electronic tradesperson working in the manufacturing, engineering and related industries. Students will also learn about communication, OHS, quality procedures and planning.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; Relevant employment and a training contract


11 core; 10 stream; plus specialisation units

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Perform engineering measurements; Perform computations; Apply principles of OHS in the work environment; Plan to undertake a routine task; Plan a complete activity; Apply quality systems; Apply quality procedures; Organise and communicate information; Work with others in a manufacturing, engineering or related environment; Interact with computing technology; Assist in the provision of on-the-job training. Elective streams: Perform high reliability soldering and desoldering; Interpret technical drawing; Fault find/repair electrical equipment/components up to 1000 volts AC/1500 volts DC; plus more and specialist units.
