Certificate III in Driving Operations

This qualification is part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package. It is designed for driving operation job roles within the transport and logistics industry. It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

Structure:

18 units: 6 core; at least 1 licensing or industry elective unit; all specialist units within one of the selected job roles; and general elective units

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Shift materials safely using manual handling methods; Carry out basic workplace calculations; Follow work health and safety procedures; Apply fatigue management strategies; Complete workplace orientation/induction procedures; Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes; plus electives from streams: Licensing/Industry; Heavy General Freight; Agitator; Bus; Refrigerated; Pilot Vehicle; Dry/Liquid; Car Carrier; Livestock; Wood Products; Dangerous Goods; Tip Truck; Over Dimensional; plus general electives.
