This program focuses on the core areas of nutritional and dietary therapy, western herbal medicine, homeopathy, flower essences and naturopathic diagnostic techniques. Studies also cover the biomedical sciences that all healthcare professionals must understand. Given naturopathy's holistic approach to illness, students will also learn social sciences which focus on the relationship between patient and practitioner. They also study advanced communication skills, in order to be able to address the wide range of emotional and psychological influences which can impact our health.
Structure
- Includes 12 study periods of 12 weeks duration (excluding breaks). Involves lectures, tutorials, seminars, demonstrations, supervised clinical practice and self-directed study. Involves guided self-study. 340 hours of Supervised Clinical Practicum. Biological and social sciences

- Students without a science background may be required to complete a bridging course before commencing study

The Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA). Students may also be eligible to join: Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) and Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
