This program provides an entry-level qualification for those who have either a personal interest in complementary medicine or are looking to expand their knowledge and/or skillset. Foundational knowledge covers the biomedical sciences of anatomy and physiology, bioscience and biochemistry. These topics form the basis of the biomedical sciences which are vital for a successful career as a healthcare professional. They also provide a structure which supports the study of holistic medicine. Discipline-specific subjects can be chosen from either the Naturopathy, Western Herbal Medicine or Nutritional Medicine modalities.

Structure

  • Includes 3 study periods of 12 weeks duration (excluding breaks). Involves lectures, tutorials, seminars, demonstrations, supervised clinical practice and self-directed study. Involves guided self-study. Discipline-specific studies in your chosen specialist area: Naturopathy
  • Nutritional medicine or Western herbal medicine.
