Australian Catholic University (ACU)

This program will prepare students for a career in business management. They will study a broad range of business subjects that will develop their understanding of business management and how organisations work. Subject areas include: Accounting; Commercial Law; Finance; Marketing; Human resource management; Business information systems; International business. Sixteen of the subjects students will study are from the Bachelor of Commerce degree. In addition to this, Bachelor of Business Administration gives them the flexibility to choose five other subjects from the Faculty of Business and four subjects from any faculty of the University. Students can also gain professional industry experience that will improve their employability on graduation and provide them with a practical application of their studies. Graduate career opportunities arise in both the private and public sectors and cover a wide range of occupations.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; NSW prerequisites: English; QLD prerequisites: English (4, SA); VIC prerequisites: Units 3 & 4 and a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English

Further information:

Students may elect to enrol in a Professional Experience unit involving professional placement within a business organisation (in the relevant discipline area) over a period of 140 hours.

Recognition:

As the Bachelor of Business Administration is interdisciplinary, it is not intended to fulfil the requirements for membership in a professional organisation and does not meet the requirements for entry into CPA programs. These requirements are met by other ACU business degrees.
