Bachelor of Media Production

The Bachelor of Media Production is an industry-oriented program that provides students with the practical skills required in a range of Media industry roles including: Digital video; Radio; Online content production; Film and television; New and social media; Digital journalism. Emphasis is placed on practical streams which include multiple studio-based units in digital video and online production. The course also includes writing for on line media, offering units in digital journalism. Students are also able to elect a minor from the Bachelor of Arts degree that will be suitable to combine with a Media major for students intending to progress to the Masters of Teaching. The course will put students at the cutting edge of the Media Production field.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; VIC prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 with a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English

Study Pathways:

Eligible graduates of this course may go on to an honours program, Masters or Phd.

Further information:

Professional work placement plays an important role in the degree. Students who have successfully completed the first two years of the degree will be eligible to partake in an Internship (120 hours) with a Media organisation suited to the student's needs. Other voluntary opportunities in the field will be offered throughout the course.
