Postgraduate Certificate in Educational System Leadership

The Postgraduate Certificate in Educational System Leadership is for educators in leadership roles in Catholic school systems or networks of congregational schools. The course develops values, attitudes, knowledge and skills in educational system leadership that will enable students to: be effective in promoting and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning and the quality of religious education in Catholic school systems; influence their systems and organisations through a commitment to religious, ethical, moral and professional standards; become efficient and effective leaders and improve governance and administrative practices. Emphasis will be on the practice of leadership in a faith-based context. This leadership course enables students to share core learning experiences and personalise learning.

Entry Requirements:

Four year Bachelor degree in Education; or Bachelor degree in an area other than Education and a Graduate Diploma in Education; and at leave five years' relevant professional experience


40 credit points consisting of: 20 credit points from Core units; at least 10 credit points from Specialist units; up to 10 credit points from Electives.
