Certificate III in Public Safety - Biosecurity Response Operations

This qualification is part of the Public Safety Training Package. It is open to any candidate who has worked in or is likely to work in biosecurity response; either in a field or operations centre role.

10 units: 4 core; 6 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Communicate in the workplace; Follow defined OHS policies and procedures; Work in a team; Work effectively in an emergency disease or pest plant response. Electives: Manage information; Prepare, maintain and test response equipment; Work safely around aircraft; Maintain safety at an incident scene; Work as a team member in an emergency operations centre; Follow site quarantine procedures; Collect and preserve biological samples; Carry out field surveillance for a specific emergency disease or plant pest; plus more.
