Certificate IV in Production Nursery

This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the production nursery industry. The nursery industry expects this qualification to be achieved to meet job outcomes at this level.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education. Prerequisite units may apply to some electives.


14 units: 7 core; 7 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Schedule irrigations; Supervise maintenance of property machinery and equipment; Develop a horticultural production plan; Maintain work health and safety processes; Develop a soil health and plant nutrition program; Implement the pest monitoring and evaluation plan; Supervise work routines and staff performance. Electives: Plan and supervise control activities on infected premises; Carry out field surveillance for a specific emergency disease or plant pest; Design plant displays; Diagnose plant health problems; Minimise risks in the use of chemicals; Recommend plants and cultural practices; plus more.
