Australian College of Applied Psychology

The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) has been delivering specialist courses from Diploma to Masters level, since 1983 and is a leader in the field. ACAP offers courses in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Case Management, Coaching, Social Science and Youth Work.

ACAP is a registered higher education provider (HEP) and nationally-registered training organisation (RTO). Their higher education counselling degrees are accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the psychology degrees are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Social work degrees are provisionally accredited with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Small class sizes give students individual attention and encourage students to actively participate and practise the skills they learn. ACAP teachers have academic research and professional experience that enables them to bring their theoretical knowledge, research-informed perspectives, real life experience and up-to-date industry knowledge into the classroom.

ACAP students can select to study on-campus in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne (degree and vocational courses) and Adelaide, online learning or a combination of both.

In some courses ACAP offers student placements, which are unpaid supervised work placements in organisations related to their studies. This allows students to practise their skills in a work environment, meet professionals working in the industry and build valuable experience before graduation.

FEE-HELP is available to eligible students.
