This course explores the health hazards in the built environment from indoor air quality issues like chemicals in building materials and household products, to particulates, allergens (house dust mites, moulds and pollens) and electromagnetic field issues. The extensive practical and theoretical training will enable graduates to conduct audits in electromagnetic fields, allergens, chemical, gas and particulate sampling in addition to providing advice to build healthier homes.

Established in 1999, the Australian College of Environmental Studies is a Registered Training Organisation that is the only college to offer nationally accredited training in building biology (healthy homes) and feng shui. par Building biology is a rapidly growing industry which involves identifying the health hazards in the built environment from electromagnetic fields, mould, particulates and allergens to chemicals in household products and building materials. Their building biology graduates have been used as expert witnesses in legal cases. par The college has trained the majority of feng shui consultants in Australia, some of whom founded the Feng Shui associations.
