Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Nursing

Australian College of Nursing

Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Level: Postgraduate

This course aims to nurture excellence in the delivery of clinical nursing care to the sick and/or convalescing infant and their family. This course is designed to advance the role of the neonatal nurse, where focus is given to the nursing care of high risk infants within a holistic framework of developmental and family centered care. The course builds upon the existing knowledge and understanding of the neonatal care environment. The course offers one core subject and three elective subjects relevant to the student's specialisation. The subjects reflect contemporary issues and students will participate in online discussions on current themes.
