This course will provide training in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and optimising athletic performance. Sports therapists assess, treat and prevent disorders in human movement caused by injury.

Manage a practice; Administer a practice; Make referrals to other health care professionals when appropriate; Provide leadership in promoting effective work practices within the health industry; Implement and monitor OHS policies, procedures and programs; Implement and monitor infection control policy and procedures; Apply temperature therapy; Apply myofascial tension techniques; Apply appropriate stretching techniques; Apply trigger point techniques; Apply deep tissue techniques to treat common musculoskeletal injuries; Provide initial management of sports injuries; Tape ankle, thumb and fingers; Tape and/or brace elbow, Achilles and AC joint.
