Australian Fitness Academy

Established in 1993, Australian Fitness Academy is a Registered Training Organisation and Australia's largest online training provider delivering personal training, health, fitness and sports courses. For over 20 years, they have been passionate about delivering the highest quality health and fitness education and have educated thousands of students who are now successful Personal Trainers and Fitness Professionals. Courses are Centrelink approved and government funding is available to eligible students. All fitness qualifications are offered through flexible delivery modes. Face to face courses are available in Melbourne and online courses are delivered nationally.

Entry requirements for Australian Fitness Academy

To work as a Personal Trainer students need a Certificate III and IV in Fitness. There are no pre-requisites for the Certificate III in Fitness, however students must be passionate about health and fitness and helping people to achieve their goals!

Transfering your previous study credits

Students with relevant industry experience or previous study may be eligible for Recognised Prior Learning (RPL). Undertaking the RPL process allows applicants to use their past qualifications and work related experience in order to match the current unit of competencies that make up a Certificate III and IV in Fitness.

External study oppurtunities

Personal training and fitness courses are available online nationally over 18 to 24 months. Online learning with AFA includes presentations, videos, activities and readings and access to extensive student support services.
