This qualification is part of the Creative Arts and Culture Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of competencies in a varied work context in the music industry, using some discretion and judgement and theoretical knowledge. They may provide support to a team.

11 units: 4 core; 5 specialist; 2 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Work effectively in the music industry; Apply knowledge of style and genre to music industry practice; Contribute to health and safety of self and others; Implement copyright arrangements. Specialist: Performance; Sound Production; Business. Plus electives.

Further information:

Sets and staging for some performances or events may fall within the definition of construction work. If so, people entering the construction site are required to complete the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work Achievement of the unit 'Work safely in the construction industry' from the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package will fulfill this requirement.

The Guild is a national organisation conducting courses and examinations in music at all levels, including steps through the grades into Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Bachelor Degree. The Guild is classified as a private Registered Training Organisation for VET (TAFE level) courses and as a higher education provider. All courses are on the national register for delivery in all states. FEE-HELP is available for eligible students applying to the Degree (Australian citizens).
