The Bachelor of Music (Audio) degree at AIM provides future audio professionals with a solid background in recording, mixing and audio production. Students seeking a career as an audio engineer, a music producer, in live concert sound or multimedia post-production (film and television) have the opportunity to utilise AIM’s state of the art studio facilities and the expansive knowledge of our industry veteran teaching staff to develop their listening skills and technical aptitudes whilst acquiring the hands-on experience required to excel in a competitive, rewarding industry.

Structure

You will learn theoretical and technical skills in all aspects of creative musicianship. You’ll also get plenty of opportunities to test your production skills on our performance students using our state-of-the-art recording facilities, live concert spaces and digital environments.

Standard entry requirements

Applicants with recent Higher Education (tertiary) study – at least 6 months full time (at Bachelor degree level or higher) from an internationally-accredited institution ORApplicants with completed secondary education matriculation in the last 2 years (NSW HSC or recognised equivalent) ORMature age applicants (21+yrs) not meeting the above criteria but with sufficient previous work / life experience deemed relevant by AIM.
