As a leading independent education provider in the music, entertainment and performing arts industries, AIM operates campuses in both Melbourne and Sydney and offers a diverse range of fully accredited music and creative arts programs.

Why study with us?

The entire AIM community lives and breathes music – wherever you go on campus you’ll be surrounded by like-minded creatives that will challenge and inspire you to advance your own artistic development.

With over 50 years of experience, the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) has stood the test of time and as a not-for-profit, AIM continually reinvests in itself and its community, pairing cutting-edge technology and facilities with an experienced teaching staff that have all come from practical, industry-based backgrounds.

The journey doesn’t stop after AIM either – our alumni are highly sought after by the creative industries and our graduates are constantly staking out sustainable and innovative careers, developing networks and reputations across a range of professions as they carve out their futures in the music and performing arts industries.

Facilities and Services

We believe that our students should have every available opportunity to explore and develop their creativity while also preparing them for the rigours and realities of real-world industry.

In order to achieve this, AIM is constantly upgrading its equipment and facilities, most recently on the Sydney campus where, as part of its 50-year celebrations, AIM has completely revamped the campus into a cutting-edge and industry-leading music facility.

Our sound-proofed classrooms and theatres are all stocked to the brim with various instruments and technologies as well as top-of-the-line audio systems for critical listening and recording.

At AIM, a collaboration between students is highly encouraged which is why students are able to hire instruments and equipment as well as book practice rooms and recording studios at no expense, including alumni.
