This qualification is part of the Printing and Graphic Arts Training Package. It applies to individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge in, and are responsible for, digital production workflow. Students will analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources and are involved in planning, scheduling and the supervision of labour, machines and materials for digital production. They provide leadership and guidance to others with responsibility for the output of others.

No minimum education. Prerequisite units may apply to some electives.


20 units: 4 core; 16 elective

Core: Develop workplace policy and procedures for sustainability; Inspect quality against required standards; Maintain a safe work environment; Communicate in the workplace. Elective streams: Converting, binding and finishing; Digital media technologies; Pre-press; Printing; Screen printing; Support.
