Certificate III in Dance

This qualification is part of the Live Performance and Entertainment Training Package. It reflects the role of a person working in a varied context in the live performance industry, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge.

Entry Requirements:

Entrance requirements vary between providers. An audition or other form of evidence where the candidate demonstrates competence in at least one dance style at Certificate II level is required.

Structure:

13 units: 6 core; 7 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Develop basic dance composition skills; Incorporate artistic expression into basic dance performances; Integrate rhythm in dance or movement technique; Work effectively in the creative arts industry; Develop performance techniques; Condition the body for dance performance. Electives: Perform basic on-ground acrobatic techniques; Develop dance partnering technique; Develop dance improvisation skills; Increase depth of ballet dance technique; Increase depth of social dance technique; Develop basic dance analysis skills; Develop musical theatre techniques; Work effectively with diversity; plus more.

Established in 2014, Australian Performing Arts Network is a Registered Training Organisation offering training in performing arts. They currently hold certifications for Certificate II in Dance, Certificate IV in Dance, Certificate IV in Musical Theatre, and Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts with a choice of Major (Commercial Dance) or (Musical Theatre).
