To provide a nationally recognised qualification for theological teaching faculty who wish to be develop a specialization in research supervision or become primary supervisors and/or research administrators.

Entry requirements
- Completion of a Research Masters or Research Doctorate. Admission may be granted by the ACT Director of Research on a case by case basis to applicants who hold a Coursework Doctorate.
- Applicants must demonstrate employment in a higher education institution for the purpose of supervising research degree candidates in the disciplines of Theology and/or Religious Studies
