This qualification is part of the Transport and Logistics Training Package. It is designed for mobile crane operation within the Transport and Logistics Industry and other industries. It involves a broad range of skilled applications applied in a wide variety of contexts.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; Prerequisite units apply to some core units.

Structure:

17 units: 12 core; 5 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Monitor plant and equipment in an environmentally sustainable manner; Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes); Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity); Follow mobile crane safety procedures; Shift materials safely using manual handling methods; Maintain mobile cranes; plus more. Electives: Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more); De-rig, pack and store tools and equipment; Set up and rig crane for lift; Secure cargo; plus more.
