This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. Competencies are selected to provide relevant skills in engineering production and may include an introduction to computer use in relation to engineering work, machining, hand tools, power tools, fundamentals of electrical concepts, engineering science, fabrication techniques and quality concepts. Competencies are selected depending on employer's needs. Undertaking this course will also equip participants with enhanced communication skills and an appreciation of the OHS requirements of the engineering industry.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education. Entrance requirements vary between providers require industry employment or a traineeship agreement.

Established in 1997, Axial Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that offers traineeship and apprenticeship trade training, business qualifications and a range of short courses and inductions. Axial offers traineeships and apprenticeships in the areas of: business, meat retail, engineering and automotive. Axial also provides training in mine inductions and site safety, first aid and Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC).
