Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education

Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the chance to study a wide range of courses designed to help them gain the skills and qualifications to find work and to help with the development of their communities.The Australian Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Education (ACIKE) is a joint initiative between Charles Darwin University (CDU) and the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE). Both organisations share a commitment to Indigenous student outcomes and currently occupy unique positions in the Australian tertiary education sector, having a critical focus on regional, remote and Indigenous education in some of the most challenging environments in the country. ACIKE is the only higher education delivery portal for BIITE. Both organisations provide staff for four schools within the ACIKE structure.
