This qualification is part of the Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package. It reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of agricultural machinery in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education


36 units: 24 core; 12 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Diagnose and repair heavy vehicle compression ignition engines; Select and use bearings, seals, gaskets, sealants and adhesives; Carry out servicing operations; Inspect and service engines; Follow safe working practices in an automotive workplace; Test, charge and replace batteries and jump-start vehicles; plus more. Electives: Remove and install heavy vehicle engine assemblies; Remove, inspect, repair and refit agricultural equipment tyres and tubes; Diagnose and repair heavy vehicle clutch systems; Inspect, service and repair crop harvesting equipment; plus more.

Study Pathways:

Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis; Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling or other relevant qualifications.
