This qualification is part of the Foundation Skills Training Package. It is designed for individuals who require further foundation skills development to prepare for workforce entry or vocational training pathways. It is suitable for individuals who require: a pathway to employment or vocational training; reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 3; entry level digital literacy and employability skills; or a vocational training and employment plan.

Core: Use digital technology for routine workplace tasks; Use strategies to respond to routine workplace problems; Use routine strategies for work-related learning; Calculate with whole numbers and familiar fractions, decimals and percentages for work; Estimate, measure and calculate routine metric measurements for work; Interact effectively with others at work; Read and respond to routine workplace information; Write routine workplace texts. Berry Street Victoria Inc has been a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Adult, Community & Further Education (ACFE) provider since 2006, delivering a selection of accredited and pre-accredited courses to a range of students. In the Hume and Gippsland regions, Berry Street delivers Foundation Skills and pre-accredited courses to vulnerable young people within the community and the Berry Street School. These are delivered in a supportive learning environment with a focus on skill development and individualised programs. In addition, Berry Street also delivers qualifications to internal and sector staff in order to build professional skills and knowledge, and improve outcomes for clients. Since 2015 Berry Street has been delivering the Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention to residential care staff. It is Berry Street's aim to provide high quality training and educational and vocational pathways for clients and staff.
