As part of the Billy Blue philosophy to produce design graduates who have had the opportunity to stretch, grow and connect to the industry, we offer an Internship Program to all of our bachelor degree students. You can apply to complete an internship during your studies – some of these may even earn you course credit towards your degree.

Internships at Billy Blue are realised through many means including the BB Hatch Internship program, dedicated internship subjects embedded within courses and participation in external internship schemes run by our industry partners.

For over 25 years, Billy Blue has been a vibrant community of design practice. Description Billy Blue is committed to discovering and nurturing new talent, and the scholarship program provides an opportunity for exceptional new students to join Billy Blue and become the best designers they can be. Applicants should be creative thinkers who want to produce an original design based on their own concept backed by solid research and inspiration. Billy Blue scholarships are available for school leavers or mature age students with no prior design training or experience as well as for students who have completed a VET qualification in design from another provider and are looking to upskill. Billy Blue scholarships are offered for each intake in February, May and September.
Eligibility Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens who have not been previously enrolled in a course at Billy Blue College of Design and who are currently enrolled in full time on campus study. Submissions must be original creative works, not plagiarised, and present relative to the brief. The scholarship will be awarded based on a set of criteria, including creative originality, innovation, academic drive, and industry passion.
