This qualification is part of the Property Services Training Package. It applies to carpet cleaners requiring specialist and comprehensive skills. They may be self-employed or operators, and are capable of working autonomously while being overseen by area supervisors or managers. Carpet cleaners clean carpets, rugs and furniture upholstery.

Entry Requirements:

Certificate II in Carpet Cleaning Operations or relevant vocational experience


18 units: 7 core; 11 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Identify carpet fibre and construction; Perform advanced stain removal; Plan for safe and efficient cleaning activities; Maintain cleaning storage areas; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices; Respond to enquiries and complaints; Participate in workplace safety arrangements; or Contribute to workplace safety arrangements. Electives: Restore smoke damaged carpet; Perform carpet repair and reinstallation; Clean leather upholstery; Clean fabric upholstery; Apply topical treatments; Inspect sites prior to cleaning or treatment; Develop a plan to mitigate water damage and restore carpet; plus more.
