This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.You'll study ageing support topics such as:supporting people who may be living with dementia and/or other illnessespalliative carefalls preventionservice planning and deliveryTo achieve this qualification, students must complete at least 120 hours of work within a Residential Aged Care Facility as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Our Certificate IV in Ageing Support offers essential skills and knowledge to perform specialised tasks and functions, thereby providing further employment opportunities in either residential or home and community-based environments. Our course includes training in supporting people who may be living with dementia and/or other illnesses, palliative care, falls prevention, and service planning and delivery.You must complete a minimum of 120 hours working in the aged-care environment.
