This course offers basic training in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Participants will be given a brief introduction to techniques of classroom management and assessment, and a more thorough introduction to presentation techniques, lesson preparation and analysing language for communicative purposes.

Design and deliver an ESL teaching program; Design and develop an ESL learning framework; Plan an integrated lesson using communicative language teaching methodology; Identify and use basic grammatical concepts and traditional metalanguage; Demonstrate understanding of the basic terminology of traditional grammar; Supervised and individually assessed teaching practice.
