This qualification is part of the Integrated Telecommunications Training Package. It has been designed as a pathway for specialised work across the occupation and technology streams on the National Broadband Network (NBN). Specialist streams are available that will lead to one of the following occupational outcomes: Copper Cable Jointer; Technician Fibre; Fibre Splicer and Technician Hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC). Elective streams are available in: Copper cabling; Fibre cabling, and HFC cabling.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; Prerequisite units may apply to some electives.

Structure:

14 units: 5 core; 9 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Use electrical skills in telecommunications work; Use hand and power tools; Follow work health and safety and environmental policy and procedures; Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices; Supervise worksite activities. Plus electives.
